The Namesake, Ch. 10 [Side Thoughts]

Moushumi's unfaithfulness to Gogol makes me feel a strong anger at her. As if Gogol hasn't had enough to go through with his family and his past girlfriends, she has to go and cheat on him. If she didn't like him in the beginning, if she had known that he wasn't the best guy for her, then she shouldn't have married him. She's cheating on Gogol with some gross, balding, middle-aged man named Dimitri. Moushumi had even resolved to lie to Gogol if he ever questioned her about where she had been that day. I also think the fact that she's upset not because she's having an affair but because it makes her feel strangely at peace makes me hate her even more. My predictions about her and Gogol having a bad relationship had been right all along.
